  • Previous versions of Acrobat contain the capability called Examine document and in Acrobat X Pro it is renamed to Remove Hidden Information. With remove hidden information tool you can remove metadata, attachments, comments, form fields, digital signature, deleted or cropped content, overlapping objects, JavaScript, links, actions. You need to remove information for example if you need to comply with regulations like the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, U.S. Privacy Act or for court filings. If you want to publish any PDF online you probably want to remove any personal information like who created the document and when it was created.

    To remove information from your PDF file, open your PDF file. Click on Tools pane and open Protection panel. Now move to the bottom of Protection panel on the Hidden Information section and select Remove Hidden Information. Remove hidden Information panel will open on the left and shows you the results. If you click the file you can see all the different items that are going to be removed. If you don’t want to remove some items then deselect that items here and then click Remove button to apply the removing information action. Acrobat will tell you that what is going to be removed from this document, now click OK. Acrobat will process the action and you can see when it is completed. But changes will not apply until you save the document. If you close you document without saving you will prompt to save or cancel the changes.

    Another way to automate removing Hidden Information is action wizard, click on File menu, select Action Wizard, where you can create your own actions or pre-installed actions in Acrobat X. Select Publish Sensitive Document, it allows you to mark reduction, remove hidden information, reduce file size etc.

    You can also use Sanitize Document from Protection panel, click on it and it will show you the complete list of removing items. Now click Ok. You will prompt to save the document click Save and it’s done.

  • In this tutorial we will learn how you can track your review in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
    With the help of reviews tool in adobe acrobat you can shared your pdf files with other people to get there comments and markups about your PDF documents. You can also invite someone to make a review on your PDF file. When you will start or join a PDF file review you can manage other people response by using “Tracker tool”

    You can check tracker status from Comment > Track Review

    When you will click on Track Reviews you will find a new window with the name “Tracker” In this window you can see two parts, one on the left side with menu and other on the right which showing complete detail regarding each particular sub menu.

    How to Start a Review on PDF File

    If you want to create new shared review please follow these steps.

    1-     Click on “Latest Updates” from left side menu

    2-     Now you can select an option from “Create a Shared Review” or “Create an Email-based Review”

    3-     Click on “Create a Shared Review”

    4-     Browse a PDF file (You want to share for reviews)

    5-     Select on option from drop down menu “How do you to collect comments from your reviews”

    6-     I will prefer “Automatically collect comments on my own internal server” and then click on “Next”

    7-     Now please give a path of a network folder where you want to collect comments.

    8-     Write an email address for sending file and click on “Send” You can also use CC if you want to send file more then one persons.

    Its done.


    How to Check Response on Reviews

    1-     Click on “Sent” under review menu in left side of “Tracker” window. Here you can find response on your PDF files. You will see all comments and timing on the right side of this window.

    2-     If you want to check response on other user PDF file (Shared with you) Just click on “Joined”

  • Adobe SendNow to share track files with co-workers and colleagues without sending huge email attachments back and forth. Open the document in Acrobat that you want to share with someone else. Now click on Share panel, you will have two options to send document one Use Adobe SendNow Online and the other one is Attach to Email to attach files to your email. Click on Use Adobe SendNow Online, if you want to add more files click on Add Files to add. Now you can type the email address of whom you want to send the file and write subject title.
    You can also add message with file, type the message in given text area. To get delivery receipts to make sure whether the file is delivered or not, click on Get delivery receipts option. You can limit the time for your document to be downloadable and click on Send Link button.

    Acrobat tells you when the sending process completes. You can also view and track the files you have sent to others. Click on the option View and Track Sent file given on completion of sending process. Adobe SendNow window will open, you can view sent files from Sent Files area. You can also check for received files in Received Files area and can send more files from Send Files area.

    You can see details for the sent or received files by clicking on files. If you will click a sent file you will see complete information about it such as who is the sender file, who receives it and on which date it is sent. Here are tools given on top left of Sent Files to forward the file to share with others, to download file, and to delete files. From SendNow menu you can use the online other services available for Adobe.
